With Zwischenzeit, Claudia Breitschmid creates a site-specific installation. Visitors enter what appears to be an empty exhibition room. Their presence activates a light control system and, after a few seconds, the space abruptly darkens.
For a brief moment, a fluorescent drawing emerges from the walls. Before the spatial constellation can be fully grasped, the light returns, leaving the drawing barely visible.
The work reveals what usually remains concealed: cracks in the masonry and traces embedded in the exhibition architecture. As long as visitors remain in the space, darkness recurs, shifting perception and opening a moment in which seeing is no longer bound to light alone.
