Together with Samuel Haettenschweiler, we are working on a long-term project on the disappearance of glaciers. We move our studio to the mountains on a temporary basis and have been using a cameraless process and working in tangent with the local landscape. We place light-sensitive paper directly under the dripping ice masses of the glaciers. The rhythm of the drops, the position of the sun, clouds and wind imprint themselves on the paper. On some prints there are still residues of sand and mud, others have traces or slight injuries from fallen rocks and still others have discolorations a reaction of the mineral content of the water with the emulsion.
