A Dialogue with a Big Body of Water
There are a few questions that have accompanied me throughout my time in Iceland: How does man affect the environment, and how does this now-changed habitat reflect back on him? Inspired by Astrida Neimanis’s posthuman phenomenology, I have been thinking about the human being as a body of water in dialogue with other bodies of water.
During a stroll on the beach, I found many pieces of glass. The shape of the broken pieces were reformed by the ocean. While translating these stones into photographs, I processed the surface of the pictures with wax and glue.
